In 1995 a group of Mt. Blue High School chorus students approached their director, Dennis Hayes, asking if he would be willing to start up and organize a select/auditioned vocal ensemble that would challenge interested singers in a unique and entertaining way ... there came the birth of The Mt. Blue Voices.

Since then The Voices have become one of Maine's premier high school vocal groups.

The fifteen members of The Voices sing in the contemporary acappella style found on college campuses across the country. Their style can be attributed to the personalized arrangements done for the group by Dennis which highlight the individual strengths of the student singers.

Over the years The Voices have entertained audiences across the state, have toured the Eastern provinces of Canada, and performed at Walt Disney World in Florida five times during the last decade.
